Fête de la Tulipe 2021
The Tulip Festival lasts seven weeks and presents 145,000 tulips of around 275 varieties in the “Parc de l'Indépendance“ in Morges, Switzerland. The diversity of these flower beds displays the huge range of the tulip's shapes and colours.
The 2021 edition is called 50th bis since most of the events planned for 2020 had to be postponed to 2021. The Tulip Festival was created on the occasion of the 50 years of the Lake Geneva Horticultural Society in 1971. As a tradition, the horticulture apprentices of Morges Centre for Professional Studies create several beds of flowers for each edition.

Since July 2019, the Tulip Festival is part of the World Tulip Society. It is an association aiming to bring together all the stakeholders of the tulip world, including parks and festivals from around the world, distributors and artists who have used the flower as a model.
Every two years, members gather at the World Tulip Summit, which allows exchanges and celebrations around the tulip and its history.

At the 2019 summit, the Morges Tulip Festival was awarded the "2019 World Tulip Destination Worth Travelling For" award to highlight its 50th edition in 2020. This award celebrates one of the oldest tulip festivals in the world.
