Capturing the Beauty of Morges’ 54th Tulip Festival
Springtime in Morges, Switzerland, is synonymous with one thing: the vibrant and much-anticipated Tulip Festival. Its 54th edition has once again transformed the Parc de l'Indépendance into a sea of color, delighting photographers and flower enthusiasts alike throughout the entire month of April.

This year, the festival kicked off with an early spell of sunny and warm weather. However, as the month progressed, the weather took a turn with an end of month bringing cooler temperatures and frequent rain showers. The moments just after a light rain shower offered a great opportunity to capture tulips glistening with droplets, their colors even more vivid against the moody skies.
The Tulip Festival was a resounding success for its organizers, drawing over 100,000 visitors. With more than 20,000 people flocking to the park on weekends, capturing images without crowds in the background was a challenge. I ended up deleting many pictures due to strangely colored backgrounds - people’s clothing. Interestingly, the rainy days helped mitigate this issue. Fewer visitors meant more chances to snap uninterrupted shots of the tulips in their natural, rain-kissed splendor.
